Brockport, NY - The #25 ranked Brockport baseball team will travel for a three-game road trip this weekend, beginning with a matchup against Oneonta on Friday, March 28^th at 3 pm. The Golden Eagles will then head to Troy, NY on Saturday, March 29^th at 11am to take on RPI before heading to Rochester on Sunday, March 30^th to take on the Yellowjackets at 1pm.
 
Last Outing: The Golden Eagles wrapped up their Florida trip with a 7-1 win over Keuka down in Auburndale, FL on Saturday, March 22^nd. The Golden Eagles moved to 14-1 overall and 3-0 in Empire 8 play following the win, finishing the RussMatt Invitational with a 7-1 record. The Golden Eagles 14 wins in 15 outings serves as the best 15 game start in program history.
 
Zach Eldred (W, 3-0) rolled through the Keuka lineup, recording a career-high 13 punchouts with just one run allowed across seven innings of work.
 
Eric Servellon (S,2) closed out the contest for Brockport, tossing two hitless innings with three strikeouts.
 
Frank Vanzillotta would reach base safely four times for Brockport, going 2-3 with two walks and three runs scored.
 
The Brockport top of the order all posted two hits on the day, with Vanzillotta, Indek, Eldred, and Story all posting strong efforts.
 
Jason Mansell led Brockport with two stolen bases, going 1-5 at the plate.
 
National Polls: For the first time since 2023, the Golden Eagles cracked the ABCA Top-25, earning the #25 ranking as well as leading the receiving votes category in the D3Baseball.com Top-25. Brockport currently ranks among the top-10 in the nation in several statistical categories.

Top of His Class: Picking up his second weekly award of the season, Zach Eldred earned E8 Co-Pitcher of the Week following an excellent outing against Keuka. Eldred posted career highs in innings pitched (7), strikeouts (13), and batters faced (27). Holding a 3-0 record with a 2.63 ERA, Eldred has also emerged as one of the best hitters in the country, ranking among the top of the country in multiple categories.

Top of the Order: Each starting all 15 games for Brockport, Frank Vanzillotta and Josh Indek have been excellent in the leadoff and two-hole spots respectively. Vanzillotta has been excellent at setting the table for Brockport, ranking second in the country in walks per game (1.4) and runs per game (1.93, while also holding an excellent .554 OBP. Indek has done much of the same from the two-hole spot, holding an impressive .435 OBP and going 5-for-5 on stolen base attempts on the season.
 
Scouting Oneonta: The Red Dragons sit at 11-5 overall and are currently in the midst of a seven-game winning streak. Oneonta posted a strong 4-2 record in the RussMatt Invitational and will look to avenge last year's three game sweep by the Golden Eagles.
 
Scouting RPI: The Engineers hold a 11-6 record, riding a four-game winning streak and most recently defeating the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts 29-1.  Saturday's meeting will mark the first since 2019, which saw Brockport roll to a 12-3 win on the road.
 
Scouting Rochester: Rochester has jumped out to a 7-7 start with a 2-1 record in Liberty League play, most recently taking two-of-three games from Clarkson last weekend. Facing off five times since 2022, Brockport has won four of the last five meetings.
