Brockport, NY—The #17 ranked Brockport baseball team will host SUNY Poly for a three-game set, beginning with a doubleheader on Saturday, April 12th at 1pm.
 
Last Outing: The Golden Eagles blanked visiting St. John Fisher, 7-0, on Monday, April 7^th. Following the win, Brockport improved to 19-2-1 overall and 8-0 in Empire 8 play.
 
Zach Eldred (W, 5-0) continued his incredible two-way season, tossing seven scoreless innings with six strikeouts and just three hits allowed. At the plate, Eldred would extend his program-record-hitting streak to 25 games, going two-for-four with a two-run home run
 
Eric Servellon would lock down the game for Brockport, pitching two shutout innings with four punchouts to secure the Brockport win.
 
Kyle Blake continued his excellent sophomore season, going a perfect four for four at the plate with an RBI.
 
Victor Alongi led Brockport with two runs scored, going two for three with a walk in a strong performance.
 
Making a Statement: The Golden Eagles are currently sitting atop the Empire 8 with an 8-0 record and have rolled through conference play thus far. The Green and Gold have allowed less than two runs per game in E8 play, outscoring conference foes 75-15. In E8 contests, the Golden Eagles hold a team OPS of .976, compared to just .510 for opposing squads.
 
Climbing the Ranks: Following a 5-0 week for the then #25 Golden Eagles, Brockport has climbed up the national polls. The Green and Gold slotted in at #17 in the D3Baseball.com polls, allowing just eight runs in five outings. The #17 team in the country outscored their Empire 8 adversaries 43-8 last week.
 
Sophomore Standout: Building off a productive freshman season, Kyle Blake has emerged as a top threat in the Brockport lineup. One of four Golden Eagles to start all 22 games, Blake holds a team second-best .434 batting average (3^rd in E8), 36 hits, and a .500 OB%. The East Greenbush native has posted a hit or better in 20 of 22 outings with 10 multi-hit outings and five games with three or more hits.
 
Scouting SUNY Poly: The Wildcats currently hold a 9-12 record with a 5-5 mark in E8 contests, most recently falling to St. John Fisher 21-3. Last year's meeting saw Brockport take a 9-1 victory at home.
