Brockport, NY- The #12/15 ranked Brockport baseball team will host Houghton in doubleheader action on Thursday, April 17
th, beginning at 1 pm. The Golden Eagles will then host Russell Sage for a three-game set beginning on Friday, April 18
th at 3 pm. 16 seniors

Senior Day: Brockport Baseball will be honoring 16 seniors following game one of Saturday's doubleheader against Russell Sage. First pitch for game one is scheduled for noon at the Clark V. Whited Complex.

Last Time Out: The Golden Eagles completed a three-game sweep of SUNY Poly, defeating the Wildcats 9-5 on Sunday, April 13th. The Golden Eagles improved to 22-2-1 overall and 11-0 in Empire 8 play.

Tyler Pohlman (S,1) would close out the contest for Brockport, allowing no hits and adding a punchout to give Brockport the 9-5 win.

Eric Servellon (W, 1-0) was strong out of the bullpen for Brockport, tossing 5.1 innings with two strikeouts and two runs allowed.

Josh Index (2-4, RBI) led all players with four runs scored, reaching base safely three times.

Zach Eldred (2-4, HR) led all players with four RBIs, adding a run scored.

National Rankings: Another 4-0 week has seen the Golden Eagles soar up the top-25, ranking among the top teams in the country. Brockport jumped from #17 to #12 in the D3baseball.com polls and to #15 in the ABCA D3 Coaches Poll. The Green and Gold landed at #16 in the NCAA's NPI Rankings.

Pitching Perfection: The Brockport pitching staff has been the catalyst behind the team's excellent season, leading the Empire 8 and ranking at the top of the country in numerous pitching statistics. The Golden Eagles staff has pitched to a 2.70 ERA, the third-best across all levels of college baseball (D1, D2, D3), while also ranking in the top-10 of D3 in hits P/9 allowed (7, 2
nd), strikeouts P/9 (10.5, 5
th), and shutouts (4, 8
th).

Walk This Way: Setting the table as Brockport's leadoff man,
Frank Vanzillotta joined the program record book against SUNY Poly. Drawing 34 walks (5
th in D3) in 25 games, he set a new program record for single-season walks, while also leading all of Division 3 with 1.36 walks per game.

POTW (X3): Collecting another Empire 8 POTW honor,
Zach Eldred has continued his record-breaking pace. With hits in 28 straight games, Eldred's .970 slugging (3
rd in D3), .485 batting average (5
th), 13 homers (4
th), 52 RBIs (5
th), and 98 total bases (6
th) are among the best in the country.

Scouting Houghton: The Highlanders sit at 13-12 overall with a 5-8 record in E8 play, most recently falling to Keuka 12-5 last Saturday. Brockport has defeated Houghton in all three matchups dating back to 2018.
Scouting Russell Sage: The Gators will enter the weekend as one of the hottest teams in the nation, winners of 12 straight E8 games with an 18-7 record on the season. The Golden Eagles and Gators have met in each of the three seasons, with Brockport coming out on top in all three matchups.
