Brockport, NY- The #12 Brockport baseball team will head to St. John Fisher for DH action on Tuesday, April 22^nd, beginning at 12:30 pm.
 
Last Time Out: The Golden Eagles dropped their Senior Day matchup with Russell Sage, 10-5, on Saturday, April 20^th. Brockport fell to 26-3-1 overall and 15-1 in Empire 8 contests following the loss.
 
Brockport would jump ahead early, with Cole Grazioplene ripping a two-out, two-RBI single to put Brockport up 2-0.
 
Camden Schaffer and Thomas DiGirolomo each tossed a scoreless inning in relief for Brockport.
 
Josh Indek led Brockport with two hits, adding a run and an RBI off his solo homer.
 
AOTW (X5): Zach Eldred was named the Empire 8 Pitcher of the Week, earning his fifth weekly award of the season. Eldred snapped Russell Sage's 12-game winning streak in the DH opener on Friday, firing a complete game shutout with seven strikeouts and allowing just three hits and one walk. Eldred has pitched to a perfect 6-0 record in nine starts, striking out 57 batters across 47 innings of work.
 
Hot Streak: Cementing his place in the Brockport starting lineup, Victor Alongi has been excellent for the Golden Eagles. Recording a hit or better in his last 10 games. Alongi has posted a .441 batting average with 10 RBIs and nine runs scored.
 
Scouting St. John Fisher: The Cardinals will enter Tuesday's matchup with a 17-13 record and a 12-4 mark in conference play. Amid a five-game winning streak, St. John Fisher most recently swept Alfred in a three-game set last weekend. The Golden Eagles cruised to a 7-0 win over the Cardinals back on April 7^th.
