Senior pitcher/outfielder Zach Eldred was named the Empire 8 Conference Baseball Player of the Week for the fourth time this season, earning his sixth weekly award following another excellent two-way week as the #12 Golden Eagles went 4-0-1 at St. John Fisher and Alfred. Eldred went 8-for-19 at the plate, smacking two home runs, adding 10 RBIs, and nine runs scored. On the mound against Alfred, Eldred tossed five innings of one-run baseball with eight punchouts, allowing just four hits.  

In game one against St. John Fisher, he went 3-for-4 with two home runs, six RBIs, and two runs scored as the Golden Eagles defeated the Cardinals 12-4. In a three-game sweep of Alfred, Eldred went 5-for-12 at the plate with six runs, four RBI, and three extra-base hits.   
 
#12 Brockport is now 30-3-2 overall with a 19-1-1 mark in Empire 8 play, clinching the Empire 8 Regular Season Championship. The Golden Eagles will head to Ithaca in non-conference action on Tuesday, April 29^th at 4 pm.
