Brockport, NY- The #12 ranked Brockport baseball team will travel to Ithaca to take on the Bombers on Tuesday, April 29th at 2 pm.

Last Time Out: Brockport completed a three-game sweep of Alfred, winning game three 15-1 on Sunday, April 27
th. The win moved Brockport to 30-3-2 overall and 19-1-1 in conference play, securing the Empire 8 Regular Season Championship and home field advantage throughout the Empire 8 Tournament.

Zach Eldred (2-4, 2B) would have a big day for Brockport, driving in two runs and scoring three times.

Anthony Lapine (W, 7-0) continued his excellent season, tossing six innings of one-run baseball with eight strikeouts.

Matthew Coon led Brockport with three runs scored, reaching base safely three times with an RBI.

Weekly Award:
Zach Eldred was named the Empire 8 Conference Baseball Player of the Week for the fourth time this season, earning his sixth weekly award following another excellent two-way week. Eldred went 8-for-19 at the plate, smacking two home runs, adding 10 RBIs, and nine runs scored. On the mound against Alfred, Eldred tossed five innings of one-run baseball with eight punchouts, allowing just four hits. Â

Scouting Ithaca: The Bombers hold a 22-12 record with a 14-5 mark in Liberty League play, most recently falling to Hobart 13-3 on Sunday, April 27
th. The head-to-head series has seen Ithaca and Brockport split the last eight meetings.
