Brockport, NY – On May 28^th, the popular sports media outlet D3baseball.com announced the 2025 NCAA Division III All-America Teams and major award winners. Zach Eldred was named the D3baseball.com Player of the Year, and was joined by Anthony Lapine in receiving All-American status.
 
Zach Eldred – D3baseball.com Player of the Year & 1^st-Team All-American Utility
Zach becomes an All-American for D3baseball.com for the first time in his career, taking the title of 2025 D3baseball.com Player of the Year. This latest set of accolades add to his impressive list that includes: 2 All-Region Player of the Year awards (2025: ABCA & D3baseball.com), 3 All-Region selections (2024, 2025 x 2), 2 Conference Player of the Year awards (2024 in SUNYAC, 2025 in E8), and 3 All-Conference selections (2023-24 in SUNYAC, 2025 in E8).
 
Eldred proved to be elite both at the plate and as a pitcher for the Golden Eagles in 2025. As a batter he set or tied the single season records at Brockport with 70 hits, 59 runs, 18 home runs, and 70 RBIs. He registered a .414 batting average, .840 slugging, and a .485 on base percentage. While on the mound, the Golden Eagle earned an 8-0 record with a 1.89 ERA and 0.97 WHIP across 62.0 innings. Eldred held opposing batters to a .197 average and registered 73 strikeouts in 12 starts on the hill.
 
Anthony Lapine – D3baseball.com 3^rd-Team All-American Pitcher
Anthony earns his first career All-American honor after an incredible season on the mound for the Golden Eagles. He earned a pair of All-Region honors (ABCA & D3baseball.com), 1^st-Team All-Conference, E8 Pitcher of the Year, and was MVP of the E8 Tournament in 2025. Brockport's ace earned a 9-1 record across 14 appearances. Anthony earned a 2.01 ERA, 0.89 WHIP, and had 83 strikeouts across 71.2 innings pitched. He was named the E8 Tournament MVP after a complete game shutout performance against Russell Sage.
 
The Golden Eagles claimed the 2025 Empire 8 Conference Championship this spring to earn the automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Championships. A pair of losses in the regional round ended the campaign at 36-5-2 overall and a 21-1-1 mark in E8 competition.
