Brockport, NY – Brockport freshman forward Penelope Schalck was named the Empire 8 Field Hockey Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, October 5th, after delivering a three-goal week that powered the Golden Eagles to a pair of victories, including two game-winning tallies.

Schalck kicked off her award-winning week on Tuesday, leading the offensive attack with two goals—including the game-winner—and adding an assist in Brockport's dominant 6-2 victory over Morrisville.

She kept the momentum rolling on Friday against Sage, stepping up in the clutch during a tight conference matchup. Schalck delivered the game-winning goal in overtime, converting off a penalty corner at the 62:15 mark to seal a dramatic 2-1 victory for the Golden Eagles.

The standout freshman has made an immediate impact in her debut season, leading the Brockport squad in both goals (7) and total points (16), while adding two assists. Her seven tallies also rank fifth overall in the Empire 8 conference.
