BROCKPORT, N.Y. — The SUNY Brockport field hockey team prepares for a two-game slate this week, stepping outside league play before quickly diving back into Empire 8 action. The Golden Eagles (6-2 overall, 1-1 E8) will host SUNY Morrisville on Tuesday, September 29th, at 4 p.m. at Dr. Linda Arena Field for their Pediatric Cancer Awareness Game. Following Tuesday's home contest, the Green and Gold hit the road to Albany, N.Y., resuming conference play against Russell Sage on Friday, October 2nd, at 2 p.m.

Brockport went 1-1 across its latest pair of Empire 8 matchups to sit at 6-2 overall and 1-1 in league play.
The Green and Gold opened their week with a dominant offensive display on the road against Elmira College on Wednesday evening. Brockport's attack clicked early, jumping out to a quick 3-0 advantage in the opening seven minutes behind strikes from
Emily Nestor,
Penelope Schalck, and
Alexis Penree. After Elmira pulled within one before halftime,
Elise Brady took control in the second half. Brady registered a second-half hat trick—punctuating her night with back-to-back goals in the final two minutes—to anchor a commanding 7-2 victory. Goalkeeper
Lauren Mastromarco recorded three saves to seal the win as Brockport outshot the Soaring Eagles 16-5 in shots on goal.
Returning home to Dr. Linda Arena Field on Saturday, Brockport clashed with Hartwick College in a hard-fought conference duel. The Hawks managed to grab a 1-0 lead before halftime and pulled away with a three-goal surge in the third quarter. Alexis Penree put away an unassisted tally in the 57th minute.
Julia Nieboer provided strong relief in net, making four saves over the final 18 minutes of action, though Hartwick held on for the 4-1 result.

The Mustangs come into Tuesday's matchup sitting at 4-2 overall and riding a three-game winning streak. Morrisville most recently scored a 6-1 victory against Nazareth. Scouting Russell Sage
