Earlier this week, the SUNY Brockport Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Executive Board was recognized with the distinguished Brockport's Best Award, celebrating their exemplary leadership, service, and commitment to enhancing the surrounding community of Brockport. Brockport's Best honors individuals and groups whose contributions reflect outstanding achievement and positive impact on the campus and local community.
SAAC plays a vital role both on and off the field, serving as the representative voice of Brockport's student-athletes and supporting initiatives that foster leadership, engagement, and community service. Over the past year, SAAC members have made a meaningful difference across our community, including organizing annual outreach efforts such as the holiday fundraiser for Barclay Elementary, where members helped raise nearly $3,000 in donations, gifts, and gift cards for families in need and coordinated participation from 13 athletic teams and staff to support local children during the holiday season.
