Last Time Out
The Golden Eagles are looking to bounce back after a tough 14-6 road loss to Clarkson University last Saturday. Despite the final score, Brockport found a late offensive rhythm, closing the game with a 4-0 scoring run in the final frame.
Hailey Lewkovich spearheaded the late surge, recording a hat trick with two of her goals coming in less than a minute.
Tristan Davis was a key playmaker for the Green and Gold, totaling three points on one goal and two assists, while
Ciara Pogue and
Journey Naab each added tallies to the scoreboard. In the cage,
Arianna Reed and
Marion Wheeler combined for nine saves against a persistent Clarkson attack.
Scouting the Garnet Chargers
Union College arrives in Brockport with a 1-1 record on the young season, coming off a narrow 13-11 victory over MIT. This marks only the second meeting between the two programs; the first matchup resulted in a 16-10 victory for Union in Schenectady, NY. Now playing on their home turf, the Golden Eagles look to even the all-time series record at one game apiece.
Up Next: The Golden Eagles will remain at home for a quick turnaround this weekend, hosting Oneonta on Saturday, March 14th, at 12 p.m. The contest will serve as the Morgan's Message Game for Mental Health, an initiative dedicated to subverting the stigma surrounding mental health within the student-athlete community.
