Brockport, NY – Following a dominant week for the Ladybros, Arianna Reed has been named this week's Empire 8 Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week.
Last Wednesday, Brockport hosted Union College and earned an impressive 9–8 comeback victory over the Chargers after trailing 7–2 early in the third quarter. Reed anchored the defense for the Golden Eagles, recording 12 saves to help secure the win.
On Saturday, the Green and Gold captured another thrilling victory, defeating Oneonta 11–10 in overtime. Reed started in goal for Brockport, facing 18 shots and making eight saves to contribute to the overtime win.
Reed currently holds a 3–2 record on the season, totaling 52 saves with an impressive .510 save percentage in net.
The Women's Lacrosse team returns to the road this week as they travel to face Oswego State on Wednesday, March 18, at 4 p.m.
