Sophomore sprinter Samantha Turner (Manchester, NY/Red Jacket) has been chosen as The College at Brockport Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending on February 16.

Turner continued to race strong for the Golden Eagles. At the Ithaca Invitational on Saturday, Turner was one of Brockport’s top finishers. In the 60-meter hurdles, Turner not only qualified for the ECAC Indoor Championships, but she also re-broke the school record with a time of 9.35. Turner also ran well in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.16.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Friday at the Orange and Brown Invite hosted by RIT for one last meet before State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Indoor Championships.
