Sophomore Alex Kober (Webster, NY/Webster Schroeder) has been named The College at Brockport Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending February 16. Kober had an impressive showing at the Susquehanna Invitational Saturday afternoon.

Brockport’s Track and Field team was split between two different venues over the past weekend, with some members of the team going to Boston University for the Valetine Invitational. Kober took part in the events held at Susquehanna and dominated the field of play.

In the triple jump event, Kober trailed several competitors before her final attempt put her on top of the competition. During her last jump she cleared a distance of 11.12 meters finishing less than a tenth of a meter in front of a Golden Eagle teammate, and her distance bested more than 30 other competitors.

Kober finished fifth in the long jump with a distance of 5.20 meters better than more than 35 other qualifying competitors.
