Senior Kelly Nowak (Orchard Park, NY/Sacred Heart) recorded her second highest career kill total with 21 for The College at Brockport Volleyball team and her ninth kill of the night put her over the 1,000-career kill milestone. Brockport dropped a 3-0 decision to Cortland, ranked #21 in the latest AVCA national coaches' poll.
 
The Red Dragons (9-0) won with scores of 25-18, 25-18 and 25-14 for the three-set victory.
 
Nowak led the Golden Eagles with her 21 kills while junior Mary Cocking (Bergen, NY/Byron-Bergen) recorded 19 digs, junior Sarah Zelko (Elmira, NY/Horseheads) had 27 assists and seven digs for the Golden Eagles.
 
Brockport will play in the RIT Invitational starting Friday as Brockport takes on St. Lawrence University and Nazareth College Friday and will play Medaille College and Potsdam Saturday.
