Box Score Sophomore Amanda Riebe (Pleasant Valley, NY/Millbrook) led The College at Brockport on a key run in the clinching third set of volleyball's 3-0 win over St. John Fisher College, in a non-conference match at Brockport.
Brockport defeated St. John Fisher in three straight sets by scores of 25-20, 25-19 and 25-17.
Riebe led Brockport on a six point swing in the third set that gave the Golden Eagles the 20-15 lead. Junior Kayla Barber (South Glens Falls, NY/South Glens Falls) closed the match out with an emphatic cross court kill.
Barber led a balanced Brockport offensive attack with nine kills compared to two errors, finishing with a 0.368 hitting percentage. Riebe and freshman Brianna Richardson (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) contributed eight kills apiece while junior Ashley Capone (Lowville, NY/Lowville) chipped in seven.
The balanced offensive attack was set up by senior Jessica Dobson-Tufo (Watertown, NY/Carthage) and freshman Rachel Fiser (Visalia, CA/Golden West). Dobson-Tufo led the team with 12 assists while Fiser dished the ball out 11 times.
Senior Jaime Snyder (Elmira, NY/Thomas Edison) moved into the No. 6 spot all-time in career digs list at Brockport. The defensive standout finished with 24 digs on the match.
Barber also played a key role on the defensive side of the ball as she tallied 16 digs. Richardson, Capone, Dobson-Tufo and junior Hannah Sawicki (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) combined for eight block assists.
