Brockport, N.Y- The Brockport Women's Soccer team will return home for two SUNYAC matchups, beginning with a matchup with the Blue Devils of Fredonia on Wednesday, October 11
th. The Golden Eagles will then take on Cortland on Saturday, October 14
th at 2 p.m.

Last Time Out: The Golden Eagles went 1-0-1 last week, defeating Alfred 3-0 at home in dominant fashion, before coming back from 2-0 down to tie with New Paltz 2-2 last Saturday. Brockport turned in a dominant performance against Alfred, with
Kiley Longin and
Jaylah Cossin both scoring in the first half to put the Green and Gold up 2-0 at the break.
Amelia Breton buried a
Diane Lange feed to put the Golden Eagles ahead 3-0, and
Madeline McCrosson made 4 saves in a shutout effort.

Faced with a 2-0 deficit less than 5 minutes into the first half, the Golden Eagles offense came alive before the break.
Kiley Longin would give the Green and Gold some much-needed momentum, burying a penalty shot to cut the lead to 2-1 at halftime. The Golden Eagles would tie the contest 2-2, and
Madeline McCrosson would shut down the Blue Devils offense the final 85:11 to secure the draw. McCrosson improved her record between the pipes to 9-2-2, with the Golden Eagles improving to 10-2-2.

Scouting Cortland: The Red Dragons have cruised to a strong 7-2-3 start, with an undefeated 3-0-2 mark in SUNYAC play. Cortland is in the midst of a 6 game-unbeaten streak. Kristen Spendal has been rock solid between the pipes, posting a 7-2-3 record and allowing an average of 0.85 goals per game.
