Brockport, NY – On Tuesday, four Brockport athletes were named to the 2025 United Soccer Coaches Division III Region III team, including
Emily McCane,
Lyndsey Miller,
Amelia Breton, and
Megan Gerber.
First Team:
Goalkeeper
Emily McCane earned her spot on first team All-Region following a dominant year in between the pipes defending for the Golden Eagles. McCane finished out the season earning Empire 8 Goalkeeper of the year and First Team All-Conference after an undefeated individual record of 9-0-3. McCane recorded 0.25 goals against average and a .920 save percentage to contribute to a team conference record of 10-0-1, not allowing a single goal in 543 minutes played.
Lyndsey Miller secured her first team All-Region spot as a staple to Brockport's defensive line. Miller earned Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Year, for the second consecutive year, and first team All-Conference, leading Brockport to only allow seven goals in over 20 contests, and only one goal in conference play. Miller also contributed offensively, adding nine points from four goals and one assist in 1668 minutes of play (1
st on team).
Amelia Breton showed out this season to earn her first team All-Region, as a key component of the midfield. Breton's stellar season landed her first team All-Conference and Empire 8 Midfielder of the Year, leading the team in points with 21, goals with nine, and shots with 55 (34 SOG). Breton was also fourth on the team for time on the field with 1237 minutes, and added up 13 points on six goals and an assist in just 11 contests.
Third Team:
Megan Gerber made a statement on Brockport's midfield this season to earn her third team All-Region and first team All-Conference in the Empire 8. Gerber contributed strongly to the Golden Eagles undefeated conference record, where she recorded five goals (2
nd on team) and two assists for 12 points (3
rd on team). Gerber also was announced as E8 Athlete of the Week back on October 6
th after strong efforts on the field.
