Brockport, NY – On Tuesday, November 11
th, the Empire 8 announced its selections for Women's Soccer All-Conference and individual awards. The Brockport women's soccer team earned four major Empire 8 Awards, including Midfielder, Defensive Player, Goalkeeper, and Coaching Staff of the Year, to go along with eight All-Conference Selections following the 2025 season.
Empire 8 Midfielder of the Year:
Amelia Breton had a stellar season as a junior with the Golden Eagles, earning First Team All-Conference and Midfielder of the Year after leading the team in points with 21, in goals with nine, and shots with 55 (34 SOG). Breton was also on the field for a total of 1237 minutes this season, fourth on the team. Four out of nine of Breton's goals were game-winning, and in league play, she added up 13 points on six goals and an assist in just 11 contests.
Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Year:
Lyndsey Miller showed out in her senior season, earning her First Team All-Conference and Defensive Player of the Year for the second season in a row. Miller was a key component of the defensive line, leading Brockport to only allow seven goals in over 20 contests this season, and only one goal in Empire 8 play. Miller also contributed offensively, adding nine points from four goals and an assist in 1668 minutes on the field (1
ston team). Miller is just the third player in Empire 8 history to be named a two-time Defensive Player of the Year.
Empire 8 Goalkeeper of the Year:
Emily McCane earned Goalkeeper of the Year and First Team All-Conference following a strong year in between the pipes defending for the Green and Gold. McCane finished out the season with an undefeated individual record of 9-0-3, recording 0.25 goals against average, and a .920 save percentage. McCane helped lead Brockport to a 10-0-1 record in E8 play, not allowing a single goal in 543 minutes played in conference matchups.
Empire 8 Coaching Staff of the Year:

Mike Idland earned coaching staff for the second consecutive year with assistants
Kody Haywood,
Kate Wagner, and
Jaylah Cossin. Idland led the Golden Eagles to earn the E8 regular season title, while securing the top seed in the tournament for the second consecutive year. Brockport also went undefeated in conference play at 10-0-1 for the second time in history (2006). Idland helped the team out-score teams 36-7 this season, and recorded 15 shutouts in 20 games, leading eight of his players Empire 8 first team and third team accolades.
First Team All-Conference:
Caitlin Nelson was a staple on the Brockport midfield/forward line this season, earning her First-Team All-Conference to finish out her senior season. Nelson finished third on the team in goals with four and was key when it came to assists, leading the team with five, adding to 13 points. Nelson finished with 1188 minutes, playing over 80 minutes on the field in the last three competitions.
After being a critical component on Brockport's midfield,
Megan Gerber earned her spot on E8's First Team. Gerber helped contribute to the Green and Gold's undefeated conference record, recording five goals (2
nd on team), two assists, and 12 points (3
rd on team). Gerber also earned E8 Offensive Player of the Week back on October 6
th after showing out with three goals and one assist against SUNY Poly, and one goal against Houghton.
Ella Camalleri made an impressive effort on Brockport's defensive line, earning her First Team All-Conference. Camalleri finished third on the team in minutes played with a high of 1501, playing in 19 of the 20 competitions, starting all 19, and playing every minute in the last six games of the season. Camalleri helped the Golden Eagles to only allow one goal in E8 play, finishing sixth in the country for goals against average (.278).
Third Team All-Conference:
McKenna Slate finished on the Third Team All-Conference for the second year in a row after an impressive season as a junior forward. Slate earned Empire 8 Offensive Athlete of the Week back on October 13 after scoring the game-winning goal against St. John Fisher and recording a perfect shot percentage. Over the season, Slate accumulated three goals and three assists for nine points, and competed in 17 of the 20 games this year.
Lena Turaj contributed as the backbone of the Brockport defensive line, earning her Third Team All-Conference as a junior. Turaj made an appearance in every matchup this season, recording 1585 minutes on the field (2
nd on team), and started 19 of the 20 games. Turaj played every minute in the last five games of the season and added two assists, four shots, and three shots on goal.
