Brockport, N.Y. – The Empire 8 announced Monday that Hailey Lewkovich has been named the Women's Lacrosse Co-Offensive Player of the Week following an outstanding performance this past weekend.
Lewkovich led Brockport Golden Eagles to a 13–4 victory over Hartwick Hawks on Saturday in the team's Empire 8 conference opener. The Golden Eagles controlled the game from start to finish, securing a decisive win at home.
Lewkovich delivered a dominant offensive effort, scoring seven goals—accounting for more than half of Brockport's total—and tying for the second-most goals in a single game in program history. She also added one assist for a game-high eight points and collected four ground balls. Lewkovich was highly efficient, converting on eight of her 10 total shots for an .800 shot percentage.
For the season, Lewkovich leads Brockport with 25 goals and ranks among the team leaders with 27 total points, adding two assists. Her 25 goals serve as the third most in the Empire 8 conference, with her 27 points good for third best in the conference.
The Golden Eagles return to action this week with a pair of road contests, traveling to face SUNY Geneseo Knights on Wednesday, April 1, at 4 p.m., before taking on SUNY Poly Wildcats on Saturday, April 4, at 12 p.m.
