The 1955 men's soccer team's national title was the first in the history of the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) and the first by a Rochester-area college; outscored opponents by a whopping 51-6; continued winning streak to 19 straight games from the 1954 season (ended in the first game of 1956); Peter Hinchey and Walt Schmid were named All-Americans and were joined on the All-State team by Irish McCalister, Tom Jarvie, Toby Atwell, Walter Cain, and Bill Hughes.
