Earned varsity letters in baseball (4 years), basketball (3 years). Captain of both varsity baseball and basketball teams (1960). Received 1960 ECAC Scholastic Athletic Award.
Coached baseball, football and basketball on secondary level. Coached varsity basketball at SUNY College at Plattsburgh (1969-1985). Teams won two SUNYAC basketball championships (1975-76 and 1978-79). In 1975-76, finished fourth in the nation within NCAA Division Ill. Selected SUNYAC Basketball Coach of the Year (1978-79).
