Earned varsity letters in basketball (3 years). Captain and MVP (1949-50 and 1950-51), leading scorer (1948-49, 1949-50 and 1950-51).
Coached freshman basketball (1967-68), assistant varsity football (1967 -1969), varsity basketball (1968 -1977) at SUNY Brockport. During coaching tenure, Golden Eagles won 166 games while losing only 79, won four SUNYAC championships and two NCAA Eastern Regional Championships and finished twice in NCAA final four. Served as assistant athletic director (1975-76) and special assistant to the athletic director (1983-1985).
