One of the truly great athletes of the College's first generation; played varsity basketball and baseball at what was then the Brockport Normal and Training School (now SUNY Brockport); excelled in both, leading the basketball team to 13-2 and 10-3 records in 1928-29 and 1929-30; led both teams in scoring, averaging 10.5 points per game in 1929-30 (that year, the team only averaged 29.7 points per game).
Played semi-pro baseball and basketball after graduating from Brockport; worked in school administration, farming, and several other occupations before returning to teaching; retired in 1972 from the Brockport Central Schools.
