Competed in outdoor (1964-67) and indoor (1965-67) track and field at SUNY Brockport; also ran cross country (1964-66) and played freshman football (1963); scored in every track meet of career; set eight individual school records and was part of six school relay records; competed at nationals ('66, '67); most valuable runner (1967).
Established and coached the Sweetheart Track Club (1969), the first female track club in western New York; established and coached the Brockport Athletic Club (1970); coached SUNY Brockport track and field (1979-83, 1991 -present); has coached cross country at Brockport High School since 1969; team won 60 straight meets (1976-78); coaching four U.S. National racewalkers.
Won several college, local, state, and regional awards, including SUNY Brockport Alumni Association Hall of Heritage status, and Brockport High School Teacher of the Year; very active in local theatre; seeking production for "Rings," a drama revolving around the Olympics.
