Varsity football (2 years). Named Little All-American, 1957 and 1958. Only two-time football All-American in Brockport football history. Team captain in 1958. Selected to play in "Gem Bowl" in Erie, Pa. With other outstanding seniors at the end of the 1958 season. Scored ten points on a touchdown and two safeties in one season from his linebacker position. Scored Brockport's only points in a safety on a 2-0 win over Alfred in 1957, giving the Golden Eagles a 4-2-1 record, the first winning season at Brockport and still the best single season record in school history.
Coached varsity football (1961-75), baseball (1966-86) at the high school level. Also a baseball and soccer referee.
