Four-year varsity basketball player for SUNY Brockport; elected team captian 1972-73 season.
Coached Wantagh softball and volleyball for 18 years, guiding the squads to impressive 312-75 and 266-54 records, respectively; led softball team to Nassau County Finals four times; received Nassau County Softball Coaches Association and Daily News Softball Coach of the Year Awards in 1984 and 1986; honored with National High School Athletic Coaches Association Regional Softball Coach of the Year Award in 1991; 1983 and 1985 volleyball squads also were Nassau County Finalists.
Displayed her mental and physical toughness in finishing 1980 New York City Marathon and Long Island Marathon, as well as 1988 and 1990 Long Island Half Marathons; founded and presided over Nassau County Softball and Volleyball Associations in 1984; currently directs top 50s Volleyball School at Lutheran High School and Long Island Volleyball Camp at Hofstra University; serves on Section VIII High School Athletic Council, as well as its Appeals Commitee.
