Four-year player on field hockey team at SUNY Brockport (1966-69); captain of undefeated volleyball team; also played lacrosse and was a member of the swim team.

Coached Ithaca College women's lacrosse to undefeated season in 1970; coached Ward Melville High School field hockey and gymnastics (1971-72); first female athletic trainer to serve on United States Olympic Medical Committee (1975); trainer for United States women's volleyball team (1973-75); Director of Medical Services for NORCEA Games in 1975; supervisor of the Gymnastics Training Site at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

One of the first women in the country to become a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and one of the first dozen women to become certified; Dr. Daniel Brady wrote, "She has been a driving force in bringing athletic trainers into contact with the most up-to-date approaches to rehabilitation and treatment. She has led the way to recognition of the field and equal opportunities for both men and women to practice in it. "
