A three-year varsity baseball standout - he had 47 strikeouts in 44 career innings pitched and his three-year earned run averages were 1.30 (1951), 1.00 (1952), and 1.91 (1953); was the student-athletic director for one year, varsity club president, and also competed on cross-country team.
Engaged as assistant and head baseball coach at Goshen Central School for 25 years, Loffredo was the director and manager of the first American Legion baseball team in Goshen. He also served as junior varsity football coach for three seasons at Goshen.
Loffredo is actively involved in his community as a member of the Minisink volunteer fire company (31 years), Goshen planning board, and American Red Cross. He was the first recipient of Rosalie Weiss Memorial Award for outstanding achievement in Health Education by the American Lung Association (1974).
