Coached high school soccer for 26 years; coached two Section V champions; 45 players he coached were named All-County.
Started the "I Care Club" in the late '70s as a recreational program to keep local kids of the streets at night; Ralph Beaney Sportsmanship award given yearly in his name; involved in numerous community service projects.
