One of three wrestlers in school history to be named an All-American all four years (1984-87); NCAA Division III national champion as a senior at 158 pounds; three-time SUNYAC champion; NYS champ; two-time team captain; represented Brockport at the NCAA Division I championships after winning the Division III title; team finished second in the nation in Division III in his junior and senior years.
Physical education teacher for the Spencerport Central School District since 1991; assistant coach for wrestling (10 straight Section V titles) and football (first-year program) and head coach for track and field (two-time county champs in Division 2); also has been an assistant coach/consultant at SUNY Brockport since graduating.
NYS Junior National Team coach (1991-98; 1992 national champs, 1996 runner-up); assistant coach, Junior World Team (1998, bronze team medal); head coach, USA Wrestling Cadet World Team to Bulgaria (1997); U.S. Olympic Committee Developmental Coach of the Year (1997); two-time (1996 and 1997) USA Wrestling Northeast Regional Developmental Coach of the Year; NWCA Assistant Coach of the Year in NYS (1995); assistant coach, University World Team to Czechoslovakia (1990); Wrestling USA Magazine College Assistant Coach of the Year (1989-90).
