Catcher for SUNY Brockport baseball team for four years (1932-35); caught every game except one during those four years; Coach Ed Nihiser called him "best catcher I had in my 15 years of coaching at Brockport."
One of the leading business people in the Brockport area; self-employed, started selling brushes house-to-house in 1935 and has been engaged in sales ever since; owns and operates Monroe Sealfast Warehouse automotive parts supply house in Brockport.
Served in the U.S. Army (1944-45); went to Europe with the 69th Division and was with them when they linked up with the Russians in Torgau in 1945; active in semi-pro baseball for 40 years; chairman of Legion Baseball in Brockport for over 30 years.
