Earned varsity letters in soccer (3 years), basketball (4 years), track and field (4 years). Was New York State Pole Vault Champion (1951, 1952, 1953). Earned Honorable Mention All-American Honors in soccer (1952).
Coached baseball and basketball on junior and senior high school level. Also coached college cross country and basketball (25 years). Volleyball official (6 years). Served as associate dean of students (8 years) and professor of physical education at Suffolk Community College (1970 -present).
