Brockport Hall of Fame
Zach Ferrara ‘13 was the 2013 NCAA Division III Pole Vault National Champion after clearing a school-record height of 5.09 meter (16' 8 1/4”) at the indoor track and field championships in Naperville, IL at North Central College. He capped his career as a three-time NCAA qualifier in the pole vault and was also the 2013 outdoor national runner-up in the event. He is a three-time All-American and Brockport’s indoor and outdoor school-record holder in the pole vault.
Ferrara was a three-time SUNYAC Champion in the pole vault during his time in the green and gold. He was also the 2013 Brockport Male Athlete of the Year and a SUNYAC All-Decade Team selection. He was the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) 2013 Indoor Field Scholar Athlete of the Year and graduated from Brockport with a degree in Kinesiology, Sport Science and Physical Education. He was also a finalist for the James D. Ulrich Collegiate Male Athlete of the Year award.
Ferrara, who placed first in the pole vault at 20 meets during his collegiate career, came to Brockport by way of Rochester, NY and Irondequoit High School.
