As high school athlete, received first Rochester Sports Award to Outstanding Female Athlete. Participated in badminton, basketball, softball and volleyball. Played softball and basketball for Kodak Park. At Brockport, participated in all sports clubs offered (except rifle)... no varsity athletic teams offered for women at that time.
Coached men's tennis on the secondary level (1958); taught at SUNY College at Potsdam (1956 - 1960). Joined Brockport staff 1960 as teacher, coach and athletic administrator. Coached flat-water kayak (1964 - 1972); served as women's softball and basketball coach (1964 - 1972); women's swim coach (1963 - 1979); women's athletic director (1968 - 1972). Coached ASA fast pitch softball, Syracuse, (1969 - 1970) winning state championship in first season. Swimming official (1965 - present) including first AIAW national swimming and diving championship, Ill., and national junior college championship, Rochester, NY Instrumental in establishing women's sports organizations as member of the committee to establish NYSAIAW at its charter meeting, Fancher campus. Assistant to the athletic director (1983 - present).
