MVP Tri-County Basketball League (1962). Joined SUNY College at Brockport faculty in 1967. Senior Fulbright Lecturer in American Literature in Europe (1971-72). Fellowships from National Endowment for the Arts (1973, 1985). Author and editor of many volumes of poetry, criticism and fiction.
