Three-sport athlete at SUNY Brockport from 1973 to 1976; three year starter in volleyball and voted team captain as a senior; also started for three years on women's basketball team and competed in women's lacrosse for one season.
Coached SUNY Brockport volleyball team from 1981 to 1983, twice leading the squad to a national ranking and the 1982 NCAA Tournament; also served as assistant women's basketball coach during those same years and assistant volleyball coach in 1980; named first-ever head coach of Jersey City State College men's volleyball team in 1989; also in 1989, coached Long Island region to gold medal finish in Empire State Games.
As an international competitor, was a member of the USA National Volleyball Team (1975-76); competed in 1976 Olympic Qualification Trials in Heidelberg, Germany; 1977-78 member of Clermont University Basketball Club, the top-ranked women's club in France; has been a member of United States Volleyball Assoc. (USVBA) as a player and official for 20 years; received USVBA All-American honors in 1989 and 1990.
