Two-year member (1991-92) of the indoor and outdoor track and field teams and four-year (1990-93) field hockey player; 1992 NCAA Division III national champion in the 400-meter hurdles and a five-time All-American in track (400 meters and 55-meter hurdles indoors and 400 meters and 100-meter hurdles outdoors); one of only two women in school history to win an individual NCAA Championship; more All-American honors than any other Brockport female athlete; set 13 school records during track and field career, 12 of which still stand; Co-Female Athlete of the Year at Brockport in 1992; also was a standout on the field hockey team, scoring 10 goals and adding five assists in four seasons.
Named 1992-93 WVOR College Sportswoman of the Year for the Rochester area; SUNYAC All-Academic Team; Dean's List student five times, including perfect 4.0 GPAs in her final three semesters.
Interned at Johns Hopkins while finishing degree at Brockport; has been employed at Johns Hopkins since July 1995 as a registered clinical nurse in its 21-bed cardiac unit; was a member of the Sigma Theta Tau honor society while pursuing master's degree.
