Led the Brockport baseball team both in the classroom and on the field from 1997 to 2000; two-year captain and voted Brockport’s Most Outstanding Male Scholar-Athlete in 2000; earned SUNYAC All-Academic recognition four consecutive years; named All-SUNYAC in 1998 and 1999 as well as All-Region for the same two seasons; named the team’s outstanding athlete in 1998 and recipient of the Sharon E. Wexler Memorial Leadership award in 1999.

Returned to Brockport as an assistant coach in 2001 before starting his teaching career at Kenmore East High School; moved to Victor Central School in 2002; at Kenmore East was an assistant coach for soccer, baseball and hockey; at Victor has served as head coach for modified soccer, assistant coach for football, head coach for modified baseball; currently the assistant coach for varsity baseball – the 2014 team won the Class AA State Championship – and the head coach for varsity hockey since 2002.

Has served as the chairperson for Section V hockey; has been named the Daily Messenger ice hockey Coach of the Year five times and the Monroe County League Coach of the Year three times; was the Democrat and Chronicle High School Coach of the Year in 2013-14.
