Standout four-year linebacker for the football team at Brockport; as a captain as a junior and senior, helped lead the Golden Eagles to the first undefeated season (2000) and first two (2000 and 2001) NCAA Division III playoff appearances in school history; was a consensus first-team All-American as a senior (American Football Coaches Association, Hewlett Packard, Football Gazette, d3football.com); was selected to play in the Aztec Bowl (Division III all-star game) and was a team captain; led Brockport in tackles as a junior and senior and finished career ranked in the top 10 in school history in tackles and quarterback sacks; was a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers through training camp in 2002 and played the 2003 season with the Rhein Fire of NFL Europe.
Has been a teacher and administrator since graduating from Brockport, with teaching roles at John Marshall, Thomas Jefferson and Charlotte High Schools, N.O.R.T.H. Star Academy, and School Without Walls in Rochester and Pompano Beach Middle School in Florida, and administrative roles with the RCSD Central Office, School Without Walls and Charlotte High School.
Was Brockport’s Male Athlete of the Year in 2001.
