Varsity basketball (2 years). Earned Little All-American honors in 1954-55, the third Golden Eagle in history. Led the team in scoring in 1953-54 (231 points) and 1954-55 (330) and in assists in 1953-54 (26). Named team captain in 1954-55 and team MVP both years on the team. Coach E. Curtiss Gaylord called him "pound for pound, the best in Brockport history" back in 1955. He was 5'8", 126 pounds as a senior. Still holds school record for free throw attempts in season (187) and is second in free throws made in season (138). Both set in 1954-55.
Invited to try out for Rochester Royals in 1956. Played semi-pro with East Rochester Paul's 1955-59, helping compile 171-18 record. Played in national semi-pro tournament in 1967 and named First-Team All Semi-Professional. Named Rochester-Monroe Country High School Hall of Fame, 1979.
